With origins dating back to the 1950s, Tin Lizzie Saloon is Orange County’s premier gay bar, where locals and out-of-towners come to mingle in a lively atmosphere and indulge in fine wine and spirits. Open daily, the swanky, red-hued Victorian saloon is located in the heart of SoBeCa (South on Bristol Entertainment, Culture and Arts) in Costa Mesa. The saloon’s plush, new décor features red pin-and-tuck banquettes with brass foot rails, velvet-embossed “flocked” wallpaper, ornate gold sconces, velvet drapes and hardwood floors. An intriguing display of avant-garde photography decorates the walls. Considered a gay oasis in conservative OC’s urban sprawl, Tin Lizzie Saloon serves up a wide selection of premium wines by the glass as well as signature martinis. A pool table and a vast selection of music on a satellite jukebox provide lively entertainment. With a new investment of energy and resources, Tin Lizzie Saloon continues its long tradition of offering a spirited and welcoming atmosphere for OC’s gay community.
